Meet TRiO Perks at the Texas TRIO Conference, March 29-30, 2021

The Texas TRIO conference has been rescheduled to March 29-30, 2021.

For TRIO program administrators in the state of Texas, the annual Texas TRIO Conference is an opportunity to network and collaborate with other programs throughout the state. This year, like many other conferences, the Texas TRIO Conference is 100% virtual. TRIO program personnel can attend the 2021 conference from the safety and comfort of their own homes. Now in its 48^th year, this years’ conference takes place March 29-30, 2021.

About Texas TRIO

The Texas Association of TRIO Programs, also known as Texas TRIO, is an organization for the administrators and staff of TRIO programs throughout the state of Texas. This association helps to create opportunities for TRIO professionals and provides professional development and support for these individuals. In turn, TRIO program leaders and staff assist and guide thousands of students in the state of Texas, beginning in middle school and continuing through college.

Texas TRIO members work toward improving educational outcomes by:

• Providing educational training
• Creating outreach initiatives
• Developing resources that can be used statewide
• Getting involved in political issues that impact TRIO programs
• Promoting educational scholarships to TRIO participants
• Providing training and education in the use of technology
• Promoting public awareness of TRIO programs

Program leaders and staff are united in their mission to give students from disadvantaged backgrounds every opportunity to succeed in their educational career.
